First of all, apologies for the fact this page is purely a collection of photos! We weren’t in Georgia very long, and we didn’t do much whilst there, but I still wanted to document it as part of my previous travels 🙂
It was on the same family trip that took us South from New York to Hilton Head Island, that we also squeezed in a short visit to Savannah, Georgia on the way. A port city, and the oldest in Georgia, Savannah’s downtown area is one of the largest Historic Landmark Districts in the States. There’s a fair few things to do here (see 10best, TripAdvisor or Visit Savannah or BucketList for a few!), but we only had one day, which we spent walking along the water, drinking in terraced bars and making friends with pelicans….
We also enjoyed an epic vegan and vegetarian lunch at The Sentient Bean, accompanied by some fresh fruit juices and smoothies. Definitely worth checking out! You can see a copy of their menu here.
Whilst in Georgia, I took the opportunity to meet up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. We went for a Mexican at a nearby restaurant and I got to enjoy a fluorescent blue cocktail, complete with Corona!
